Tuesday, December 14, 2004:: Finals are over! Yaaaaaay! To celebrate, here's a minor update. I've added several Johnny Rockwood designs, and as usual, there's a new Tourist wallpaper. I've also added a Film Projects page which is accessible from the Artwork page, but I haven't compressed the files yet, so the films aren't really there. The thumbnails are kinda cool, though. Oh yeah, and I updated Angie's profile so she'd stop nagging me. (I love you Angie!) This will probably be my last update of the year, so don't spend it all in one place! In 2005, expect all six films online, and... (suspense)... FLASH! (gasp!) That's right, I said it. It won't be anything fancy, but I am planning on doing a major aesthetic overhaul, including a new color scheme... maybe. Anyway, Happy Holidays, and oh yeah... I'd LOVE IT if you all would link to me from your blog/AIM profile/MySpace page/facebook page/Friendster page/website/whatever. www.infinitone.tk currently appears on the second page of Google search results for "infinitone." Let's bump that up to the first page, people! Love, |
Friday, November 19, 2004 :: Just some minor business. I've secured a domain name (infinitone.tk) and a license certificate for the site. Not that I had much of a problem with people ripping off my work before, but at least now I've got some protection. Oh, I also added snazzy new buttons to the Artwork page. And a new link. |
Monday, November 8, 2004 :: So! Long time, no see, eh? Yeah, well I've been busy. I know, I know... haven't we all, right? To be honest, it's actually been a pretty light semester school-wise; I'm not in any discussion classes, which has made it all too easy for me to completely abandon my reading. But I am in a somewhat time-consuming film class (which reminds me... I'm going to put Quicktime files of my movies up as soon as the semester is over), and I'm getting better at Japanese by the day. I'm still nowhere near fluent, but it's coming. Anyway, about the update: I've added a new section, which will feature all the work I've done for hire (except my illustrations for the newspaper; those are still on the cartoons page, which has eight new pieces!). There isn't much there so far, but in a few months it should be twice as big or more. I've also added one new Tourist wallpaper, one new Tourist illustration, and a new character design based on my friend Vince Chen, which has been in the works since May or June or something like that. Hope you enjoy! Oh yes, and I have added a couple new links: a fellow Occidental graphic artist's hilarious cartoon site, and Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist David Horsey's site. Next time: I hope to put my first completed Tourist episode, "Riot at the IHOP," online, as well as more advertisements and newspaper illustrations, a new masthead, and perhaps a new (or old, but new to you) paper or two. I have begun converting the site to Flash, but that is an incredibly long, involved, and tedious process, so don't expect that until at least next spring. Until then! Oh yeah, and I hate America. May the gods have mercy on our oil-stained souls. |
Sunday, September 5, 2004 :: Man... this song is driving me nuts. That's better. Big update! Check out the Artwork and the Links. The Sketches section is fully functional now, and there's a new illustration that I'm really happy with (and a wallpaper version of it) in the Tourist section, so make sure to check that out. Two of the new links are MUST SEE: Young-Hae Chang Heavy Industries and Topher's Cereal Character Guide. So make sure you work your way over to those. That's it! There'll probably be a new masthead soon, but I'm burnt out on this update and I just want to upload and be done with it for now. |
Friday, August 6, 2004 :: Nothing major to report. I put up some more artwork and updated a few profiles, and, if you haven't noticed, there's a new masthead! Let me know what you think... the background image is Magritte's "This is not a pipe." Is that too pretentious? (shrug) Anyway, this will probably be my last update for a while, since I'm heading back to the midwest for a few weeks and will be away from my iMac. But keep the profile info coming, and I'll put it up as soon as I get back to LA! In other news, "The Village" is not NEARLY as bad as all the critics are making it out to be. Stefanie and I saw it and we both agreed that it was pretty good (as did Jordan and Gabe). The surprise wasn't great, but it wasn't enfuriatingly stupid like Ebert would have had me believe. Usually I totally agree with Ebert, but I just can't believe he gave it one star. That's the same rating he gave "A Cinderella Story" and "Catwoman." That's just RIDICULOUS! Besides, this movie isn't just about the surprise! It was fantastic aesthetically; awesome art direction, cinematography, music... I mean, are we really gonna judge this director based on how many cards he has stuffed up his sleeve? That's bullshit. Go see it, you'll see what I'm talking about. |
Thursday, July 29, 2004 :: Updates: a few incomplete profiles are up, and I fixed the misdirected links in the political cartoons section. Oh, and you should all contact me with information for your profile: a desired job title, your hobbies, a fun fact about yourself, your birthday, your e-mail address, your website URL (if you have one), and a photo. |
Wednesday, July 28, 2004 :: I'm giving my presentation in under an hour and twenty minutes. I'm not really nervous, but I think I'm going to be nervous when the time comes... which makes me a little nervous. But oh well, it's not like anybody's going to be paying attention. Maybe I should punctuate my speech with swears. Oh, and I have posted the transcription of my speech to the Writings page. |
Tuesday, July 27, 2004 :: Okay! Infinitone Productions is on the web! Yahoo! Of course, there isn't that much up yet, although the Writings page has some stuff, the Artwork page has several galleries up, and the Links section... well, that section is downright comprehensive, if I may say so myself. Be prepared for updates! Anyway, tomorrow's the big research conference, and then summer research is (kind of) over... (insert uncontrollable sobbing here) I want to put my paper up (on the Writings page) as soon as possible, but my mentors (Morgan Pitelka and Christine Marran) persist in making me improve it... so I think I'm going to be working on it for a while yet. It'll probably be up within a week or two. Oh, and a few words about the site: it's best viewed in at least 1024 by 768 resolution and in Apple Safari, or, if you don't have a Mac, Mozilla Firefox will do. |
Sunday, June 27, 2004 :: Just starting to get my shit together. |
